Salesforce Field Service
Enterprise CRM with FSM
Makula Field Service
Built for OEMs
The Asset object is standard; lifecycle management is the $75 add on
Work orders relate to the asset; email and ticket history does not
Asset hierarchies model components, not a bill of materials
Maintenance plans and work rules are native to Field Service
Asset attributes and usage based rules exist; capture is a form build
Case carries a standard Asset lookup, but populating and surfacing it is configuration
Agentforce for Field Service, from $125 per user
Agentforce plus an Experience Cloud build; grounding on a specific machine is not standard
B2B Commerce, a separate product line
Partner sharing model, scoping is the long pole

Frequently Asked Questions
The longer pole is usually the installed base rather than the configuration. Every machine you have shipped needs to arrive with its serial number, as built configuration, customer and site, warranty and contract terms, and whatever service history exists. That history sits across the ERP, drawings, spreadsheets kept by service managers, and paper job sheets. Ask any partner to price the install base migration separately from the platform configuration.
